Subject for This Semester

Hello there! In this entry I would like to share about the subject that I am taking for this semester. How about you? How many subject that you took this semester? I took 7 subjects for this semester. The code of the subject that I am taking is FIN 262, ECO 261, BEL 311, CTU 241, BAB 101 and HBU 243. It is quite tough if we cannot manage our time effectively.

Firstly, I would like to tell about my first subject. It is Finance or its code FIN 262. This subject is the only subject for me that has 4 credit hours. It means that I really need to work hard for this subject. It is an interesting subject that requires a lot of calculation. We were trained to do past year question at his class. The lecturer’s names that teach Finance for my class is En. Syamsul bin Samsudin. With his guide, we are able to understand and we can answer the question from the past semesters.

Secondly, ECO 261 is also one of the codes of the subject that I need to take. It stands for Macroeconomics. Last semester, I took Microeconomics and it is a tough subject for me. Macroeconomics is different because we need to consider the whole firm and not as an individual. Professor Madya Abdullah is my lecturer for ECO 261. He was a dedicated lecturer. So far, I am able to understand the chapter that he has thought to our class. However, I need to be more focus and revise everything that he has taught.

Next, I also took BEL 311 for this semester. It is slightly different with the one that I took last semesters since BEL 311 focuses more to write whether an essay, term paper, articles and many others. During last semester, BEL 260 focuses more on speaking. This semester, we were trained by our lecturer which is Sir Izuan to write a blog. We were given weekly assignment about different topic and we need to publish it into a blog. Through this assignment, we manage to look at ourselves whether we can manage our time and publish the assignment given on time. Not enough with that, we can also improve our writing through this assignments like an idioms says “practice make perfect”.

Beside that, I am also taking CTU 241. It is taught by Ustaz Kamarulzaman and he explains to us in details about the topics in this subjects. We were given an assignment that requires us to make a research about related topics. CTU is the subjects that we need to take since the first and second semesters. It is interesting since we can learn about economics in Islamic perspective.

After that, I choose to take Arabic language rather than taking Mandarin. The reason may be because that I was more interested towards Arabic language. My lecturer’s name is Ustaz Syazali bin Abdul Wahab. He was a nice person. He teaches us how to speak, write and pronounce the language correctly. We also will have our speaking and listening test about this subject at the end of our semester.

For the curriculum activities, I choose to take Badan Pertolongan Cemas as my subject. I was taught how to save people during emergency and a certain things that we need to consider before saving other people. My lecturer is one of the staff at Penawar UiTM Johor which is En. Halim.

Finally, the only female lecturers that teach me this semester is Miss Arfah. She is teaching Introduction to Statistics and its code is QMT 216. This subject requires us to do some calculation and research or survey. In addition, the survey is a group assignment. Therefore we need to show our teamwork to make sure the assignment can be done with the right solution and it can be submit according to the time and date given. As a student, we need to manage our time wisely and get prepared for the final exam. In conclusions, all of my lecturer’s were being helpful to me since they was helping and make sure that all of us were understand about the topics. Lastly, thanks to all of my lecturers for the knowledge that you had been taught to me!
